About Us

Renzo's passion for jewellery started in Milan, Italy, in the 1960's while working as an apprentice in his uncle’s artisan factory.  Here he discovered his passion for handcrafting silver and gold jewellery.  Renzo obtained his formal qualifications by attending design and art classes at The Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, located in Milan, Italy and founded in 1776.

After gaining extensive experience working with his uncle, Renzo commenced his own business where he specialised in designing and crafting his own range of handmade jewellery.  Early in the 1970's Renzo and his family moved to Lucca, Tuscany where he and his wife Roberta opened their own factory and showroom. It was here that Renzo continued to develop his passion for fine jewellery and hone his craft as an artisan. Renzo created exclusive handmade jewellery for a wide range of clientele, including celebrities such as the acclaimed Academy Award Winner and movie director, Gabriele Salvatores and the Italian actor, Diego Abatantuono.

In 1987 during a visit by Pope John Paul II, Renzo was chosen by the town church to create a unique gift for presentation to the Pope in homage to the city of Lucca. Renzo handcrafted distinctive two pieces.  The first, crafted from silver and gold was the face of Santa Gemma and the second, a replica miniature statue of Piazza Della Croce was crafted from silver and gold on sandstone. 

Roberta is also very creative, designing and hand stringing the majority of their necklaces including those comprising pearls and semi precious gemstones.

In the late 1980's their eldest son, Stefano, joined the family business.  After completing his apprenticeship, Stefano brought his own unique style to the family business. Stefano's designs are of a contemporary style and quite distinct from the jewellery his father, Renzo creates.

Renzo and his family moved to Sydney, Australia in the late 1990’s.  Here they have continued their passion for creativity through continuing to handcraft exquisite one off jewellery designs as well as specialising in remodelling, repairs, resizing, cleaning and polishing.
